Education
A good educator teaches young people academic knowledge as well as life lessons, scientific theories as well as moral values, how to be disciplined as well as how to dissent. Our teachers are an essential part of each student's mental and social development. This why a strong education system is fundamental to the success of young people—the future of America—and necessary for a well-functioning democracy. Today, the current education system is broken and needs reform—not promises for reform but action. DYNO is fighting to end three main problems with our education system: Abuse of Power, Top-Heavy Management, and Lack of Accountability.
Environmental Policy
There is evidence that greenhouse gases produced by burning fossil fuels are causing changes in climate patterns throughout the world. The United States, as the foremost economy, must take decisive action to ensure that human activities do not exacerbate climate change caused by global warming. If no action is taken, there will be severe ecological, economical, sociological, and political consequences. To prevent environmental collapse, the United States needs to adopt a comprehensive environmental policy which addresses all aspects of the energy problem, including Fossil Fuel, Conserving Energy, and Alternative Energy.
Health Care
"People have access to health care in America. After all, just go to an emergency room." —George W. Bush
This has been the Republicans' stance on health care that has dominated the past eight years. The healthcare system has been wasteful, insurance companies have been corrupt, and the people have suffered. We need change that guarantees reasonable healthcare insurance to all Americans.
