On Friday, July 24, 2009, DYNO hosted its first education reform forum at the Bergen County Democratic Organization's office in Hackensack, NJ. The photographs from the forum can be found below.

Chris Corbo, Education Policy Co-Director
Chris Corbo, Education Policy Co-Director, presenting on issues related to the Bergen County Academies, advocating for transparency and more accountability.

Brian Kennedy, Secretary
Brian Kennedy, Secretary, presenting on issues related to possibly unethical partial close down of the BCTS Adult School and the importance of retraining adults to acquire new skills in this economic downturn and also for green jobs. He also brought up the importance of promoting high school vocational educations.

Connie Wagner, Assemblywoman (District 38)
Assemblywoman Connie Wagner (District 38) presenting on the steps toward education reforms on the state level and her support for the expansion of adult schooling. She brought up the idea of a state-wide Education Summit to bring together all stakeholders in education reform to create change.

Julie O'Brien, Bergen County Freeholder
Bergen County Freeholder Julie O'Brien, an active legislator for Bergen County, discussing her concern related to education reform. She is very involved with the Bergen County Technical Schools and everything going on there.

Denis Niland, Paramus Councilman and Council President
Councilman Denis Niland is the Council President for the town of Paramus. He has always been very active in fighting for progressive issues and the concerns of Paramus residents.

Recently, Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney has issued a moratorium on all non-student related travels for district administrators, a step towards more accountability.
